South Eastern Council of Governments
Comprehensive
Planning Maps

The staff of the South Eastern Council of Governments (SECOG) assists member entities with a variety of long range planning services. The major component of an entity's long range planning or visioning is the Comprehensive Plan. A Comprehensive Plan provides an existing snapshot of the entity, but more importantly, identifies a realistic vision or path for future development and growth.

SECOG's Geographic Information Systems (GIS)staff assists the land use planning staff with the creation of maps that supplement the text and are an integral part of the Comprehensive Plan. The following maps are considered standard maps that are included in the Comprehensive Plan that is completed by SECOG staff: Environmental Constraints, Major Street Plan, Current Land Use and Future Land Use. Additional maps are included if they are relevant to the location or situation of the entity.
