Community Access Grant

The Community Access Grant Program was developed by the South Dakota Department of Transportation to enhance community access in South Dakota. Community Access Program grants will be made to communities to enhance access to downtown areas or for roads leading to schools, hospitals, grain terminals, or other significant traffic generating features of a small community.

The application is submitted to the office of Local Government Assistance in the Department of Transportation.

Eligibility requirements:

Population of less than 5000;

Any incorporated City, Township, County or Tribal Government.
